Level Two CERT Training

All Medical Explorers are expected to complete the G-317 Introduction to CERT course as soon as practical. You cannot serve as a Crew Chief of a Medical Explorer CERT crew without completing a face-to-face G-317 course.

You are encouraged to complete a series of FEMA/CERT online courses sometime during your Medical Explorer membership, and if delayed in completing the face-to-face G-317 course, you are encouraged to begin these courses as soon as possible.

The online courses are required of any Medical Explorer member who may aspire to be a certified FEMA/CERT trainer by completing the face-toface G-428 Train the Trainer course. These online courses include ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700.B, and the online version of IS-317. More detail is found in our SOP 1200.01.01 Required Orientation and Training Program.
