Is this organization for students?
Yes. but we're different. We're a volunteer medical organization for students that prepares our members for significant hands-on health-related volunteer service. Our training program and volunteer service helps our members better understand the U.S. healthcare system and all their career choices.
Our Omega Leo Medical Explorers is an organization for students who sincerely want to enter into a life of “service.” Our volunteer activities are an important part of who we are. It's our great variety of volunteer opportunities that make us different.
As far as we can discover, we're the only such organization for college students in the nation. This program includes structured training, expectations for volunteer servcie, and significant responsibilities that go beyond a typical student organization.
