RESOLVE ANY REMAINING HOLDS
To check if you have any holds that will prevent registration, click on the "Registration" link in Self-Service Banner. Then, press "Registration Status" (View Holds and Time Tickets).
The TXST One Stop website contains a list of hold codes, what they mean, and who to contact regarding the hold.
BROWSE SYLLABI
View course syllabi for undergraduate courses via the HB 2504 website.
- Viewing past syllabi can give you insight into what the course covers, potential schedules, and grading schemes.
- The syllabus your instructor distributes may differ than the past syllabi on the web.
ADJUST YOUR SCHEDULE
If the plan you were sent from an advisor differs from any registrations you already made for the upcoming semester, consider adjusting your registrations to match the advisor recommendations.
If you are not sure if you should update your registrations, please reply to the email and inquire with your advisor.

JOIN A STUDENT ORGANIZATION
Search for student organizations related to your major: Science & Engineering-related student orgs.
Interested in joining a different type of organization? Get involved with your peers & community!
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- Advisors do not register for you. You must register for your courses using the online portal called Catsweb.
- All students have assigned access times. To get an estimate of your first access time, please view Time Ticket information.
- View registration tutorials.
- For important academic dates and deadlines, please refer to the Academic Calendar.
- If a course is closed, continue to monitor the schedule of classes on Catsweb for open seats multiple times per day. If a course is closed and there is space on the waitlist, follow the Registrar's instructions on how to join a waitlist (not all courses/sections have waitlists).
- If you are having trouble with registration, please read your registration errors and reference the Registration Errors page to troubleshoot (. If you have further issues or questions, please email scienceadvising@txstate.edu. Be sure to include your student ID number (starts with “A0” and a description of the issue you are experiencing, along with a screen shot of the error message (if applicable).

Your tuition covers dozens of university services you can take advantage of because you have already paid for them! Look into the following resources available to all active TXST students:
TUTORING:
- Utilize the Collaborative Learning Center (a tutoring center for Science & Engineering majors) in Ingram Hall 3rd floor
- Math Cats (Derrick Hall 238)
- SLAC – Student Learning Assistance Center: provides a variety of academic support programs including a walk-in tutoring lab, Supplemental Instruction, Veteran Academic Success Center, and excellent online resources.
- And remember to attend instructor office hours for help with your courses.
