Additional Information

  • When students are suspended, they are not able to attend TXST for a specific period of time (the time varies depending on the student's academic status). If students have already registered for courses in an upcoming semester, and do not successfully appeal their academic suspension, their classes will be dropped by the Office of University Registrar. This typically happens on the payment deadline day for the upcoming semester.

    For example:

    • A student placed on first academic suspension after Spring 2025 grades post will have their courses dropped on the Fall 2025 payment deadline (August 21, 2025).
    • A student placed on second academic suspension after Spring 2025 grades post will have their Summer 2025 courses dropped on the Summer 2025 payment deadline (May 22, 2025). The student's Fall 2025 courses will be dropped on the Fall 2025 payment deadline (August 21, 2025),
