Academic Probation
Students placed on academic probation must meet one of the following requirements by the end of the next long semester they attend TXST (long semesters are either fall or spring):
- Raise your TXST GPA to at least 2.00 to return to good academic standing. Students in good standing can continue to attend TXST.
or
- Earn a semester GPA at TXST of at least 2.25 to remain on academic probation. Students on academic probation can continue to attend TXST.
If students placed on academic probation do not meet one of the requirements listed above by the end of their next fall or spring semester at TXST, they will be placed on academic suspension.

- Determine if you need to repeat any courses that you received a grade of D or F.
You will receive a separate email from the College of Science and Engineering Academic Advising Center. This email will explain how to receive feedback from an advisor regarding your Summer and/or Fall 2025 schedule. - Look for an email from Bobcats Bounce Back (B3)
- We are excited to partner with Bobcats Bounce Back (B3) next semester to ensure you have the knowledge, tools, and support to achieve Good Academic Standing.
- B3 will contact you by email on May 15 and August 18, 2025, with details about the Fall 2025 B3 program. The program provides a clear framework and regular communication to help you achieve your academic goals.
